Today was an exciting day for the Silver Foxes, our first home game of the season and what a fantastic game it was. After last weeks defeat, the boys knew they had to perform well against Old Actonians, a team that we knew were going to be tough to play against. I believe I can speak for everyone when I say that the Silver foxes were incredible and were unlucky not to have won. The final result was 2-2 but as a team, the players defended well, attacked well and passed the ball brilliantly. Not only did we gain a point from one of the toughest teams in the league, we controlled the majority of the match. Teo put us in front in the first half with a much deserved goal.

One of the most impressive things about the performance for me was that the boys did not let their heads drop when they conceded and this showed when Joshua scored a fantastic goal to end what was a well worked team move to make it 2-1.

Not only did the players improve on their finishing this week, they took all of the things we worked on in training and put it into practice during the game. The stand out performance for me, although the whole team were amazing, came from Sinclaire. I decided to start him in defence and he showed great attitude and filled the position well.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us today, not only the parents but also the coaches from Foxes FC. There are still things that we need to work on but todays match showed that with hard work, the Silver Foxes can play as well as any other team.
